Correspondence, notebooks, insurance documents, and other personal papers of Mrs. May M. Gibson, wife of J.J. Gibson. A majority of the collection is personal and business correspondence. Also included are minutes, membership information, bylaws, and other materials related to the Columbian Exposition 93ers, of which May Gibson was president. The Columbian Exposition 93ers was composed of men and women who attended or worked at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893. Among other things, the association worked to promote interest in the 1933 World's Fair. Other materials relate to the Gibson Art Gallery and the Gibson's oil burner business.
