W. McKim Marriott received his medical degree from Cornell University in 1910. He joined the faculty and administration of Washington University School of Medicine in 1910, serving as: instructor in biochemistry (1910-1914), professor of pediatrics and pediatrician in chief, clinics (1917-), and dean of the medical school (1923-1936).
