Kenesaw Mountain Landis papers, 1892-1945.

Correspondence, letterbooks containing copies of Landis's outgoing letters (1892-1921), scrapbooks (5 v., 1896-1928), judicial opinions and other legal documents, and other papers of Kenesaw Mountain Landis, relating to his career as a lawyer (1891-1905), U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois (1905-1922), and U.S. Commissioner of Baseball (1920-1944) and to his friends and family. Scrapbooks contain newsclippings, some letters and other items relating to Landis's public career. Topics include the Kumler family and Landis family. Includes correspondence with his son, Reed Landis, who was a pilot in World War I. The scrapbooks are also available on microfilm: Reel 1. v. 1-3; Reel 2. v. 3-5.
