Scrapbook compiled by Melvin C. Walthall, dedicated to the memory of James Jones and his family. Consists of photocopies, clippings, letters, articles, poems, photographs, statistics, and rosters relating to the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning). Material covers the period from the 1940s to the 1990s. Included are letters of correspondence relating to the transfer of the scrapbooks from Walthall to the James Jones Literary Society.

James Ramon Jones, known more commonly as James Jones (November 6, 1921 – May 9, 1977), was an American novelist known for his explorations of World War II and its aftermath.
