The Medical College of State of South Carolina, Office of the Dean's Records, 1886-1947, consists of 8 volumes arranged in two series: Financial Records and Student Records. The Financial Records series, 1935-1947, is arranged chronologically and includes the Medical College's Checkbook, October 30, 1935-March 31, 1936, with statements of stocks sold; the Building Fund Checkbook, January 20, 1939-December 17, 1947, which documents costs of wages, postage, and construction; the Medical College's Account Book, 1942-1943, which documents costs of operation, clinical salaries, distribution of salaries, power costs, and fixed charges; and the Kellogg Loan Fund Checkbook, July 3, 1942-April 1, 1944, which documents loans from the Kellogg Loan Fund. The Student Records series, 1886-1946, consists of 4 volumes arranged chronologically. Included are the Dean's Account Book, kept by Jacob Ford Prioleau 1886-1889, which lists the name of the student, their tuition costs, diploma fees, and other fees for all years present at the Medical College; the Department of Medicine checkbook, February 3, 1913-October 22, 1914, which consists of receipts for student's tuition payments; the Medical College of the State of South Carolina Students' Account, 1932-1948, which documents the name of the student, their tuition, and fees for microscope, contingent, incidental, library, and student activities for all years they were present at the Medical College's and a class roll book, 1945-1946, which includes the student's name, year, local and home addresses, and telephone number.
