Judith Wechsler papers, circa 1985-1994.

Audio visual material pertaining to Judith Weschler's films and television series on artists. 16mm motion picture film production elements and video copies of Wechsler's films "Siskind: Making Pictures," 1994 and "Harry Callahan," 1990 and four episodes from Wechsler's television series "The Painter's World," 1985-1989. Artists featured in "The Painter's World" episodes include Mark Rothko, Frank Stella, David Hockney, Phillip Pearlstein, and Joel Meyerowitz. Film elements include camera negatives and original sound reels, workprint and magnetic soundtracks, outtakes, trims, and master positive prints. Video copies of film are on VHS and U-Matic videocassettes. Also included are printed announcements for both films and a partial transcript from the Siskind film.
