Family of William James Hogg, a pioneer in the carpet business, and member of a family who first introduced the industry to the U.S. Originally from Philadelphia, Hogg moved to Worcester, Mass., 1879 and for a 50 year period was one of the best known figures in Worcester's industrial life.
