Thirteen letters (1851) written by John Colt (1786-1883), manufacturer, to his wife, Elizabeth P. (Boudinot) Colt, while on a European voyage; anonymous diary (1849) kept on a voyage from New York, N.Y., to California; journal (1860-1861) kept on the clipper ship Canvass Back on a voyage from New York to Hong Kong, Ray S. Clark, captain; record book (1871-1873) kept by L.H. Johnston on numbers and types of vessels passing through Newark Bay drawbridge, with information on climate conditions, and also statistics on vessels passing through Elizabeth, Hackensack, Passaic, and Rahway draws; and colonial New Jersey shipping data (1723-1763), particularly in Perth Amboy, on computer printouts compiled by James H. Levitt.
