Signed manuscript declaration of trust for the Hansford Land and Cattle Company dated 1885 Oct 2, Dundee, Scotland, appended by a separated declaration of trust, dated 1886 Jan 19. Both declarations are annotated with comments and corrections in pencil. The documents detail indentures that conveyed land in Hutchinson County and in Hansford County, Texas to George Addison Cox, Alexander Gilroy, Robert Lamb, and John Leadbetter, all of Dundee Scotland Merchants, from various other parties, including James M. Coburn of Kansas City, Missouri.

The Hansford Land and Cattle Company was a Scottish joint stock company founded in the early 1880s by James M. Coburn to invest in the Texas cattle industry. In 1882, the Hansford Land and Cattle Company purchased the Turkey Track Ranch in Hutchinson County, Texas. Company operations ceased in 1915 after all assets were sold.
