Manuscript on paper, in a single Italic hand, containing 12 sermons on various subjects, including spiritual joy, resurrection, and "deliverance from popery." In a sermon on affliction, the author writes, "Some places have bin drown'd agen, with an Inundacion of popery. Butt England (through god's strength) hath stood fast ever since th' reformation." Elsewhere, he declares, "To call upon any butt Gd, Christ, & the Spirit, we teach it not; we renounce all saints, & Angells, for Matter of Invocacion...We have noe sensible remembrancers or representatives, butt Baptisme, & th'Ld's Supper. As for prayinge, for the dead or purgotory, let them look to it, who first found it out; we teach it not."
