Manuscript in a single hand containing copies of approximately one hundred poems. Most of the poems are relatively brief lyrical, elegaic or occasional verses; contents include Amelia Opie's Lament for My Husband; Helen Maria Williams's Sonnet to Hope; The Factory Child by Agnes Strickland; W. L. Bowles's My Father's Grave; several poems by Lord Byron; and two poems on the death of Sir Walter Scott.
