Schreiber, dated Oct. 27, 1952, on stationery of the University of Michigan, below a ms. note in unidentified hand: "Manuscript by Max Winkler". Prof. Schreiber states that this ms. was entrusted to him after the author's death in the hope that he would complete the work; this he refused to do.
