This collection documents the lives of 3 generations of the Wright/Upson families: Charles Baker Wright and his wife Clara Alexander Wright, their daughter Marjory Wright Upson and her husband William Hazlett Upson, and their daughter Polly Upson Kahler. Diaries, correspondence, and writings make up the majority of the collection, with correspondence being the largest series. The bulk of the collection is from 1882-1985, with most of it created in Akron, Ohio and Middlebury, Vt. The collection is arranged primarily chronologically by the individual or subject, and is broken down into 8 different series. The strength of the collection lies in the personal information written by members of the family and correspondence amongst the family.
