Kahler, Polly Upson
Variant namesWhen Marjory and William Hazlett Upson, with their two children, decided to combine their household with that of her parents, Charles Baker and Clara (Alexander) Wright, they bought land in Middlebury's Chipman Park and hired an architect to build a concrete house. An unpublished story titled "John and Polly and the New House", by William Hazlett Upson, was adapted by his daughter Polly (Upson) Kahler, and put into a scrapbook with documents relating to the building of the house that was home to the Upson and Wright families from 1936 to 1987.
