Anne, Queen of Great Britain 1702-1714, was the last Stuart monarch. Raised as a Protestant, she was convinced to support the efforts of William of Orange and her sister Mary to depose her Catholic father, King James II. William and Mary became monarchs, and Anne succeeded to the throne upon William's death.
