This collection consists of five notebooks. They contain Weis' handwritten English translations and partial texts of the works of Hans Denck, a German theologian and Anabaptist leader during the Reformation. Weis is the author of "The Life, Teachings and Works of Johannes Denck, 1495-1527."

Frederick Lewis Weis (1895-1966) was ordained a Unitarian minister in 1924 at the Third Religious Society in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where he served as pastor until 1929. From 1929-1951 he was pastor of the First Church of Christ in Lancaster, Massachusetts. He died in Brattleboro, Vermont.
