Collection of poems and letters by David Garrick's admirers and members of his circle [manuscript] 18th-19th century.

Collection of admiring verses and letters by David Garrick's fans and friends, many addressed to him and others written after his death, including several epitaphs. Several interesting 18th century Neo-Latin poems. Also, several letters addressed to Garrick. Most items are undated and, with the exception of the correspondence, unsigned. Includes poems by David Garrick (mostly copies in other hands), A.M. Barbauld, Richard Berenger, William Cadogan, Charles Feilding, Theophilus Forrest, George Keate, George Lyttelton, Hannah More, and William Powell. Manuscript copies of Pleasant conceits, or some select epigrams by John Taylor and a song from William Burnaby's Modish husband. Letters to Garrick are from Cadogan, Thomas Kynaston, and Herbert Wilde.
