Personal papers of various members of the Blaisdell family, especially of Frank W. Blaisdell. Includes legal documents, receipts and correspondence of his business dealings and activities as executor of various estates. Also includes five daily diaries between 1879-1889 and records reflecting his involvement with the Baptist church in South Waterboro, Maine, and with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodge in Waterboro. Collection also contains papers of Elizabeth Blaisdell Dolan including financial and tax documents concerning the estate of Frank W. Blaisdell. Also contained in the collection are a few items belonging to William and Janet Belknap Randel, including scrapbooks of family trips to Finland, Greece and England as well as diplomas, membership certificates and citations from various universities.

Frank W. Blaisdell (ca. 1845-1931) was born in Waterboro, Maine and later lived in Goodwin's Mills, South Waterboro and Alfred, Maine. He was a farmer and appears to have had extensive financial and legal dealings. He was an active member of the South Waterboro Baptist Church and of the Odd Fellows Enterprise Lodge No. 36 in Waterboro. In 1871 Blaisdell married Lucy Brown Peirce and they had two children: Mary Blaisdell, born in 1878, and Elizabeth Blaisdell, born in 1882. ...
