Curtis Arthur Amlund was born in Fargo, North Dakota on November 29, 1927. He served in the U.S. Army from April of 1948 to April of 1952. Dr. Amlund, professor emeritus of Political Science, received his undergraduate and doctorate degrees from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1952 and 1959 respectively. He initially taught at Wisconsin and Oregon before coming to NDSU in 1961. He taught at NDSU until his "retirement" in 1998, but he continued to teach occasional classes in political...
