Henrietta Huxley was the wife of English scientist Thomas H. Huxley. She was the daughter of a merchant, and emigrated to Australia in her teens by way of England and Germany; in Sydney, she met Thomas Huxley, then assistant surgeon aboard the Rattlesnake.
