Scrapbook of Adelaide Strong Knox, 1896-1906.

Collection consists of a scrapbook documenting Knox's social life as a young girl and includes photographs (many of amateur theatrical productions), programs, tickets, dance cards, telegrams and letters, calling cards, clippings, etc. Also photocopies of family genealogies and photographs.

Adelaide Strong Knox was the youngest of seven children born to Carrie E. Todd and John Jay Knox. Her father served as comptroller of the currency (1872-1884). Raised in New York City, Adelaide Knox attended Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. In 1908 she married Andre Cheronnet Champollion who died in France during World War I.
