General description of the collection: The Allen family collection is mostly correspondence from Adrian E. Allen to Evelyn H. Allen. There are several letters to their sister Lorraine V. Allen and other people. Also included are a 160th General Hospital reunion program which contains and address listing of many members of the unit. The last item in the collection is a photograph of Eddie DeGrass and a friend. The letters and V-Mail talk about camp life, weather, food and general descriptions of Adrian's movements. He talks about receiving packages and letters from family and friends back home and his attempts to join the Air Cadet training program. A letter to Eddie DeGrass, from Evelyn, is returned because DeGrass had drowned. A photograph of DeGrass is also included in the collection.
