Allen Family

Residents of Connecticut; descendants of George Allen (d. 1648) of Salford, Bridgewater, Somerset County, England, who settled in Weymouth, Mass., in 1635 and removed to Sandwich, Mass., where he was buried. His grandson Gideon Allen (d. 1694) settled in Milford, Conn., and subsequently "Old Fairfield", Conn.
