The Homer Reid photographs are prints from negatives created between about 1900 and 1920. They depict the towns of Telluride and Ophir; Smuggler-Union and Tomboy Mines; Smuggler-Union Mill; Primos Chem Company Mine and Mill; Alta, Black Bear, and Keystone Mines; Birdal Veil Lake; Ophir Needles; Marshall and Savage Basins; and other scenes in the area of western San Miguel County, Colorado. Scenes in Telluride include Miners Union Hospital, Cosmopolitan Saloon, images taken during the 1903 strike, Mule Skinners Ball Committee, and the visit of William Jennings Bryan in 1903.
