The first part of the manuscript (pp. 1-34) comprises the Proceedings of the Trustees of the Richmon Female Academy from Jan. 16, 1807 to July 28, 1808. The second part (pp. 35-52) consists of accounts of William Munford from July 1, 1809 to the end of 1811. The accounts list Munford slaves, including those who were hired out in 1811.

The Academy for Female Education was established by the act of the Virginia on Jan. 7, 1807. The trustees included William Munford who was appointed the secretary.
