The collection contains editorial correspondence from the "Mid-West Review," chiefly about subscriptions, articles published or items submitted. Kessinger's own writing is critiqued, and Elbert Hubbard is discussed. The collection also contains a poem by Edgar Lee Masters, "Concord Church"; a pamphlet, "Plea of Clarence Darrow in his own defense to the jury at Los Angeles August, 1912," re a charge of attempting to bribe a juror; two postcard pictures of a Kessinger political campaign; and a program for one of his lectures.
