Papers of Philip Morin Freneau [manuscript], 1778-1799.

The collection contains two pages from Freneau's uncompleted verse play, "The spy" about Major John André, overwritten with accounts; a brief inscription by Freneau on the title page of J. Robertson's "The Elements of navigation"; a printed biographical sketch from "The Poets and poetry of America"; and a letter to an unidentified correspondent requesting travel information and payment for printing materials.
