Manuscript autobiography recounting Du Bouchet's life and travels from the 1770s through 1815. According to his account, Du Bouchet served with the American army during the Revolutionary War, then was imprisoned in France during the French Revolution and subsequently lived in exile from it during the Revolution and the Napoleonic period, returning in 1815. His autobiography includes descriptions of Generals Washington and Gates and their conduct during the Revolutionary War.
