Winfield D. Tyler oral history, 1963-1964.

In this interview, Mr. Tyler discusses his personal history and shares his observations of the New York State food processing industry. Topics include: his experiences as a student at Cornell, as an agricultural extension agent, and as the agricultural manager for the Curtice Brothers Canning Company; difficulties in getting farmers to honor their tomato contracts during World War II; changes in the production and harvest of canning crops; research in the food processing industry; the formation of Curtice-Burn, Inc. and Pro-Fac Cooperative, Inc.; his impressions of the New York State Canners and Freezers Association and the New York State Agriucltural Businessmen's Council.
