In this interview, Mr. Farrar discusses his experiences with the food processing industry. Topics include: his work with the Bureau of Chemistry, particularly with east coast oyster pollution and with dairy farms in the Midwest; inspecting canneries in New York State; research in canning peas and corn; the development of his own company and its merger with the Comstock Canning Company; and his recollection of S.E. Comstock.
