Stanley Macklem oral history, 1963-1964.

In this interview Mr. Macklem discusses his experiences in the food processing business. Topics include: his observations as a manager of Curtice Brothers Canning Company, including the distribution of product, sales, quality control, sources of capital, use of processing machinery, and relations with his competition and his employees; the New York State ketchup industry; the National Canners Association; the formation of Pro-Fac, Inc. and Curtice-Burns, Inc; and his impressions of Ed Burns, Andrew Townson, and Morton Adams.
