Crawford's autograph manuscript letters to his wife form the bulk of the collection; many of the family and other letters in the collection were enclosures, as were most of the news clippings and printed material. One photograph of Crawford and his half-sister is included. Correspondents include Clyde Fitch, Julia Ward Howe, Sir John Martin-Harvey, Edward Maitland, Levi P. (Levi Parsons) Morton, Dame Ellen Terry, and Flo Ziegfeld.
