Gayle Patricia Williams Hanson provides information about several generations of her family, including her grandmother, Vira Howell, who was a major positive influence in the development of her values. Ms. Hanson shares her experiences growing up in Fort Worth during segregation, attending The University of Texas at Arlington during the 1970s, and raising her family in Arlington, Texas. This interview documents her involvement with Arlington and Fort Worth historical societies, museums, and schools. It also chronicles some of her innovative work with public ethno-history projects.
