His papers consists of biography file clippings, correspondence, family group sheets course outlines, and miscellaneous writings, including "According to Hoyle: A Collection of addresses, lectures, and speeches" prepared by Dr. Hoyle at the request of Stetson University (1983), information, 1936-84, of or relating to Arsola Crawford Lovelace, Austin Cole Lovelace, Marc Hoyle Lovelace, Noel Crawford Lovelace and Marc Crawford Lovelace; and his memoirs, 1920-95 (1995).

Dr Lovelace grew up in Shelby and Thomasville, North Carolina and was graduated from High Point College. He received his Master in Theology Degree and Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky.
