Meeting minutes, correspondence, clippings, telegrams, reports, etc., 1895 Nov.-1896 Mar., of the Special Committee of the New York Yacht Club, appointed Nov. 18, 1895, to consider charges made by the Earl of Dunraven that in the America's Cup race in September, 1895, Charles Oliver Iselin's yacht Defender was surreptitiously loaded so as to sink her four inches deeper in the water. Members of the committee were J. Pierpont Morgan, William C. Whitney, George L. Rives, Edward J. Phelps, and Alfred T. Mahan.
