The Harvey E. Schluchter records series contains two subseries. The European Subsidiary Stock records subseries, 1930-1947 (1.6 cubic ft.), Acc. 110, contains bank statements, correspondence, departmental communications, and telegrams regarding stock dividend payments from the following Ford Motor Company foreign subsidiaries: Ford Motor Company A/B from Sweden, Ford Motor Company A.G. from Germany, Ford Motor Company A/S from Denmark, Ford Motor Company of Belgium S.A., Ford Motor Iberica from Spain, Ford Motor Company Ltd. from England, Ford Motor Company of Finland O/Y, Ford Motor Company S.A.F. from France, and N.V. Nederlandsche Ford Automobiel Fabriek from the Netherlands. The Purchase Order Releases series, 1932-1941 (0.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 115, contains purchase order release forms signed and stamped by a notary public releasing Ford Motor Company from any liability resulting from companies canceling their purchase orders. The release forms are arranged alphabetically by company name.

Harvey E. Schluchter was born in Huron County, Michigan on December 26, 1886. He joined Ford Motor Company in 1907 as a clerk and bookkeeper at the Piquette Avenue plant in Detroit. In 1927 he was appointed to company cashier and served in this role until June 1, 1943 when he was appointed assistant secretary and assistant treasurer.
