A prophecy of the Prophet Joseph Smith, c. 1890.

Negative photocopy of Edwin Rushton's recollections of a prophecy he and Theodore Turley reportedly received from Joseph Smith in 1843. Rushton recounts Smith's talk of the establishment of a White Horse of Peace and Safety in the Rocky Mountains, and Smith's belief that "you will see the Constitution of the United States almost destroyed," that in the west gold would be "shoveled almost like sand," that a "terrible revolution" would take place in America, that the Turkish Empire would fall, that England and France would be given great power to prevent "Russia from conquering the world," that the Greek and Catholic Popes would be united, and that lands west of the Rockey Mountains would be "invaded by the Heathen Chinese, unless great care and prevention is given." Also known as the "White Horse Prophecy." Written on Salt Lake Temple, Box 1228 letterhead.

1 negative photocopy, 7 pages.
