Rushton, Edwin, 1824-1904

Edwin Rushton (1824-1904), a close friend of the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith, was born in Staffordshire, England, where his family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1840. Edwin married Mary Anne Fowler in Liverpool in 1842, and that same year traveled with his entire family to the United States, where they settled in Nauvoo, Illinois.
