A native of Arkansas, James Thompson is currently a resident of Detroit. On November 30, 1967, he retired as Command Master Sergeant from the United States Army. He is the author of True Colors, based upon his experiences a POW during the Korean Conflict. He is also a veteran of WWII and Vietnam.
