Percy Grainger letter to Mr. Hopkins, and essay, 1926-1959.

The collection consists of two items: Grainger's essay, Paderewsky, king of living pianists, 18 April 1926, discussing Paderewsky's genius; also, letter to Mr. Hopkins, 6 April, 1959, praising the Alard Quartet, and enclosing a copy of Cyril Scott's 2nd Quartet, which he recommends as being similar to the William Walton work he heard the Quartet perform.
