Letter book containing manuscript copies of letters sent by Samuel George Morton, dated Philadelphia, 1832-1837 to various persons; topics include: the purchase of some skulls from a Dr. Doornik; the production and sales of his publications ("Crania Americana" [1838] and "Crania Ægyptica"); and various donations/ collections of fossils; in some of the letters, Morton writes as corresponding secretary of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia.
