Personal papers, correspondence, diaries, manuscripts, articles, memorabilia, business papers, publications, secondary source material, maps, audio recordings, photographs, and slides which present unique views into the life and culture of Southeast Asia and document the Landons' work as Presbyterian missionaries to Thailand, the Landons' literary endeavors, and Kenneth Landon's work for the U.S. government and his academic career. Includes secondary materials and correspondence of other missionaries to Thailand: Edna Cole, Rev. and Mrs. Stephen Mattoon, Mary Frances Davenport and Dr. Dan Beach Bradley. Includes significant primary and secondary materials about King Mongkut of Siam and royal governess, Anna Leonowens, the subjects of Margaret Landon's novel, Anna and the King of Siam (1944). Margaret's business papers include materials about her dealings with Twentieth Century Fox Film Co. Audio recordings in the collection include 94 CDs of oral history interviews with Kenneth and Margaret Landon.
