Includes reminiscences of his 45 years with the Bell Telephone Company of Buffalo; his notes on meetings of the Telephone Pioneers of America, 1921-1930; and articles on a cross country trip from Los Angeles to Buffalo, 1931, a 1924 visit to the home of Andrew Jackson, a visit to Pismo Beach and several Spanish missions in California, 1930, and an evening at an authors and artists club in Inglewood, Calif., 1930. Also, an article by Fred C. Boyd regarding the installation of the 100,000th telephone in Buffalo; several photographs of Mackenzie family members, Fred C. Boyd, the first female telephone operators in Buffalo, installation of the 200,00th telephone in Buffalo, Buffalo telephone buildings, and telephone equipment; and two scrapbooks, 1923-1940, of clippings on Mackenzie, the Telephone Pioneers, and early telephone history.

Native of Newport, Ky. Moved to Buffalo with his family in 1879. Soon hired as an operator, or "telephone boy", with the Bell Telephone Company of Buffalo, organized in 1878. Worked in various capacities for Bell (later the New York Telephone Company), for 45 years. Retired in 1924 to Fort Erie, Ont. and Inglewood, Calif., where he died on 7 Mar. 1948.
