Mackenzie, Cecil W., 1860 or 61-1948.
Native of Newport, Ky. Moved to Buffalo with his family in 1879. Soon hired as an operator, or "telephone boy", with the Bell Telephone Company of Buffalo, organized in 1878. Worked in various capacities for Bell (later the New York Telephone Company), for 45 years. Retired in 1924 to Fort Erie, Ont. and Inglewood, Calif., where he died on 7 Mar. 1948.
