Letters to H.H. Boysen, 1888-1889.

Anderson discusses the defeat of the Democratic Party in the election of 1888, which he attributes to Americans, particularly farmers, not understanding the tariff issue on which the Democrats must continue to educate them. He discusses the translations that will keep him busy after he is removed from his diplomatic post in Copenhagen and thanks Boyesen for a kind review.
