Cornelius Vanderhoof military record book, 1812.

Vanderhoof's military record book dates 1812 and is a printed book entitled The Soldier's Pocket Book of the United States Army. The book indicates what the army gives each man including subsistence, clothing and pay. There is ample space provided for the soldier to keep track of his pay over the length of his enlistment. A duplicate of his enlistment papers also appears in this record book.
