The majority of letters are from Marsh to Morris and show his anxiety over the Conventions refusal to accept him. There is also correspondence between Morris and Brigham discussing the Conventions qualms and Morris's defense of Marsh.

Universalist minister in Michigan who was asked to take the Universalist Church in Peoria, Illinois. His beliefs were considered liberal and the Illinois Universalist Convention was hesitant to accept his letter from Michigan and to give him acceptance into the Illinois church. Rev. L.W.
