General description of the collection: The Mrs. Gladys Dorcy photograph collection includes photographs mostly of Mrs. Ben H. (Gladys) Dorcy ("Mother Dorcy" to the First Cavalry Division). There is one photo of 1st Lieutenant Ben H. Dorcy in the Philippines with a medical unit. The rest of the collection consists of photos of Gladys Dorcy as an equestrian in the 1920s and then in numerous ceremonies of the 1st Cavalry Division as an older lady in which they are honoring her at organization day activities, parades, etc. Two photo albums are of her visit to the 1st Cavalry Division and 1st Battle Group, 8th Cavalry, in Korea (1961).
