Albert Schweitzer letter and postcard, 1927-1930.

The collection consists of two items: a letter (with envelope), in French, 27 Sept. 1927, to Ernest Newman, written on the train to Karvich, describing his travels across Europe inspecting organs, preparing for a series of concerts. Also, postcard, in German, July 21, 1930, to Prof. Alfred Stern, written by a secretary with a post script and signature of Schweitzer; the text thanks Stern for his help, and reports on conditions at the hospital.
