Autograph letter signed. Darby, writing from the offices of the London Peace Society, informs Moscheles that the Society is pleased to lend its slides to members and anyone else who is "seeking to benefit the course of peace and who desire it."

William Evans Darby, minister, peace activist and writer, was born in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire. He was educated at Tenby, New College, Hampstead and London University. In 1869 Darby was ordained as a Congregational minister. Darby also trained as a lawyer and served as vice-president of the International Law Association.
